Hot Stone Thai Massage Ball
Merging centuries of Swiss and Thai tradition
Cherrypak's hot stone massage ball is the perfect meeting of two centuries-old Swiss and Thai remedies. We've combined the best of Switzerland's cherry stone treatment with Thailand's Luk Pra Kob to promote relaxation, improved circulation, detoxification, and relief for sore, aching muscles and joints.
The classic Thai herbal massage has long been a trusted treatment for muscle and soft tissue pain. Traditionally, a steamed bundle of herbs, roots and bark was used on soldiers returning from battle. They would line up, exhausted and wounded, seeking relief from inflammation from their injuries. Practitioners in the community then began using it more widely, treating anyone who needed relief from tired, achy muscles and joints.
For years, spas in Asia and Europe have been using some variation of herbal compress massage to bring clients into an ancient healing tradition, surrounding them with rich enticing aromas and deep moist heat, alleviating both aches and pains, and stress from everyday living.
The Cherrypak hot stone massage ball is ideal for use in spas or clinics, and is easy for anyone to use at home
CLINICAL USE: Massage therapists would press the heated compress into the muscles and over the joints, allowing the heat and the oils to be absorbed deeply into the tissue. When steamed, the process releases a relaxing, pleasing aroma that further enhances the treatment. The hot cherry stones will amplify any standard massage technique, with distributed, deep-reaching tissue stimulation. This works in applying pressure with rotation, rolling the ball under your forearm, reinforcing deep static pressure with the ball under your elbow, and helping to finish off with drainage movements. It also works in standard relaxation massage.Unlike commercial Thai herbal balls (which are good for only 2-3 uses before the organics inside begin to rot), our massage ball is filled with clean, long-wearing, heat-retaining cherry stones - good for hundreds of uses. Herbal and aromatherapy components are brought in through either an impressively luxurious herbal steam, or use of essential oils and a basic microwave, as best suits your spa and the differing tastes of your clientele.
As with all our products, Cherrypak's hot stone massage ball is made by hand in Bainbridge, GA.

General | HERBAL STEAM METHOD: Place your choice of fresh herbs in a saucepan with enough water to cover the bottom of the pan, and bring to a simmer. Place massage ball on vegetable steamer above waterline, and steam for 15 minutes. Apply to skin, testing temperature carefully. Massage and reheat as needed. MICROWAVE METHOD: Optionally spray with essential oils or aromatherapy solution, then wrap in a small towel and microwave for 1-2 minutes on high. Remove from towel and apply to skin, testing temperature carefully. Massage and reheat as needed. |
Heat Therapy | Type and size of the cherry stone influence its heat capacity. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, turning halfway, and test pack temperature. Heat for additional 5 seconds as needed until desired temperature is reached. To reheat: once cooled, sprinkle with water periodically to prevent the cherry stones from drying out completely. |
Cold Therapy | Place in a plastic bag and place in freezer for at least 60 minutes. Store in cooler for outdoor excursions. |
Cleaning | Pack in a pillowcase to wash on gentle/handwash setting. Hang up to dry or dry on gentle, low heat (still in pillowcase). Keep in a cool dry place. |
Cautions | Check that the pack is not too hot for your skin. Replace any accidentally damaged products, as loose cherry stones can be hazardous to children. Do not ingest any part of these products. If pregnant use necessary caution. Should any discomfort persist, seek medical advice. |
